Keybearer GARETH - Final

Many of my friends had designed their own Keybearers and original Keyblades, however I had yet to do the same. Well, there was the Pac-Man Keyblade, but I needed to contribute something a little more serious.

And this was the character I came up with. From the concept I drew at Minifest 2010, which is also up, I began to finalise my character's design while making sure to take nothing out. The only thing I really added which wasn't in the concept sketch was solid lines, colour, and the Keyblade. Oh, and went from portrait to landscape, but that's insignificant.
And BOOM! Here is Gareth, my original Keybearer!

The Keyblade I chose for him is not an original design, I admit that freely. However, the design I used is that of a Keyblade shown in the Keyblade Graveyard from "Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep", and it is yet to be named. So, for the purpose of all Gareth drawings, the Keyblade shall be dubbed "Burning Soul". Yes, I have named it after one of Rikku's Overdrives from FFX. Awesome, I know.
And I'm thinking of turning him into a dual-wielder, but perhaps just as a one-off (for one battle or something).

I have no personal preference between this final version and the original concept ([link]), but there is indeed more attention to colour in the final, especially with those darn camouflage pants! They took forever, but for a first attempt at the things they turned out great!
